Here’s a simple recipe to make a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino at home.
This creamy, sweet, and refreshing drink is a great copycat of the Starbucks classic!
Ingredients (serves 1-2)
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup milk (any kind: dairy, almond, oat, etc.)
- 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream (or frozen yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean pod (seeds scraped)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: If using a vanilla bean pod, slice it open and scrape out the seeds.
- Blend: Add the ice, milk, vanilla ice cream, sugar, vanilla extract (or vanilla bean seeds), and vanilla bean powder (if using) to a blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add more ice.
- Serve: Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream if desired.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately with a straw!
Tips
- For a stronger vanilla flavor, use both vanilla extract and vanilla bean powder.
- Add a shot of espresso to turn it into a Vanilla Bean Coffee Frappuccino.
- Customize with toppings like caramel drizzle or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
